D'Swarte Walvis (The Black Whale) hosts board meetings, presentations, team lunches and company dinners in a monumental setting your guests will talk about long after the meeting ends. Less than 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station, yet a world away from the usual meeting room.

ROOMS FOR MEETINGS AND BANQUETING

The Regents' Room (Regentenkamer) seats up to 14 for a focused board meeting with the windmills outside. The Delft Blue Room (Weesmeesterkamer) welcomes 40 to 100 guests for presentations, receptions and dinners. The Windmill Panorama Room (Commandeurskamer) fits 9 to 50 guests, and The Whalers' Bar ('t Vleethuis) is the perfect spot for drinks afterwards. Delft Blue Room and Windmill Panorama Room: first floor, not accessible by wheelchair.

OUTSIDE OPENING HOURS? NO PROBLEM

We're open daily from 12:00 to 17:00. For meetings, dinners and events, we happily open earlier or stay open later on request.

EASY TO REACH

Less than 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans, then a 15 minute walk to our door. Coming by boat? Moor at our own jetty, right at the restaurant.

Coffee and something sweet on arrival, a lunch that keeps everyone sharp, drinks on the terrace or a full dinner to close the day: our kitchen tailors the catering to your programme. Audiovisual equipment is arranged through our partners, so you can focus on the content.

MAKE IT A DAY OUT

Combine your meeting with a walk past the windmills, a visit to the museums of the Zaanse Schans or a boat trip on the Zaan. Ask us and we'll help you put together a programme.
