Location

Park your car for free
The Zaanse Schans is closer to Amsterdam than you think and is located near the A7 and A8 motorways. We offer free parking on site, right next to the entrance to the Zaanse Schans.

Besides our own parking, there are more parking spots available within walking distance. Even if there are large groups to be expected or buses, we can make an arrangement with the parking facilities of the Zaanse Schans. After seven pm parking there is free of charge.

Get there quickly by train
Zaandijk Zaanse Schans train station is just a 15-minute walk away (train connection between Amsterdam and Uitgeest). Plan your route by public transport here.

By boat
D'Swarte Walvis is located on the Zaan in a beautiful historical area, so what could be better than to dock with your own boat at our jetty. Please note that the draft here is limited to about 1 meter.
